Jed shared a few miracles that he has seen in the past week, one of which was just that morning. He categorized one as a "really special experience", but I count that as a miracle. This is a moment that many of you have probably had reading in the scriptures, sometimes these are really so special you often don't (or aren't really able given our language) mention them ... he says, "...This morning especially. I had a really, really special experience during personal study today. As I think about it now actually, 3 Nephi 11 comes to mind, where the [Savior] is giving a discourse similar to the Sermon on the Mount. It says somewhere that blessed are those that hunger and thirst after righteousness, and I know that that applies to everyone, but I tried that out again. And it really is true. If you hunger and thirst after righteousness, you'll be given knowledge by the Holy Ghost, and you'll also be given a stronger testimony!"
The second he actually called a miracle saying ... "Miracles happen every day. It's just our duty to recognize them. The Lord blessed us and allowed us to talk to someone named Elona on the bus, and she's awesome. We set up a return appointment to see her, but we weren't exactly sure if she'd show up. We were hoping that she would, and we fasted on Sunday, and it was a good day, but we were still thinking about her. I kid you not, as we were saying her name, and talking about her, she ran past us. She was on a random run, and we had missed our bus to our flat, so we were walking home, on the side of the street that we don't normally walk home on, and she ran past us! We talked for a while, and we built more of a relationship, but I feel that that was God telling us that everything was ok, and that He's watching over us. He's on our side! It was such a beautiful tender mercy! I know that miracles happen!"
Even though both Jed and I describe these as miracles, they aren't things that are out of reach. I believe Jed would agree that these are things that our Heavenly Father wants each of us (His children) to experience ... they are only miracles because of where they originate from.
Jed said that he had quite a few emails to respond to, and to not feel bad if he hasn't written back to you. He appreciates the words, he singled a few of you out ... but let's leave it this "...Tell everyone hi! ... I love you guys, so much!! The Gospel blesses families!".
Oh, lest you think that Jed is going to come back with less physical muscle mass, he mentioned that he "...
[has] figured out a way to do pull ups, and it's so glorious! I just go outside of the flat and set it up on the main door, and if anyone comes, then I get out of the way. YAY!!".
