In Utah it has been really very comfortable spring weather. His Mom shared this with Jed and he said, "That's nice! It's freezing cold here in King's Lynn. haha :) We get that nice sea breeze off of the Atlantic. Or the North Sea. Or the Antarctic, or whatever. It's pretty chilly up here whatever kind of wind is going on. I love it though. Even though it's cold.". I don't remember him particularly liking the cold, but before I wondered too long he shared, "I love everything that's old, so King's Lynn is great for me. We walk through fisherman's alleyway things all of the time, and there's a HUGE cathedral thing up here as well that we taught a lesson in the other day, and that's awesome...".
"My companion is good. He's from Malibu, California. I've started to really learn that I need to make my own decision to be obedient and mindful of what the Spirit tells me. And diligent as well. Not that he isn't obedient, because he is. But I know that there's yet another level of obedience, and it's possible for me to reach that. And once I reach that, there's probably another one as well. But we all have to constantly strive. Life is a process...". What good advice. I feel that this is relevant to each of us.
Speaking of advice, there are a few members of the Jed's family at home that have been dealing with hard things and Elder Murri shares "...from the North Sea..." this beautiful insight "...I also know that the Scriptures will help ... I don't remember who said it, it might have been Heber C Kimball Or Spencer W Kimball or something, but he said that the Book of Mormon holds the answers to every problem that the human family will ever have to face. I know that that's true. It's helped so many people. It's helped me ... I love you all. I really want you all to be happy, and it's hard for me to be so far away, because I feel like I can't help. So just please know that I pray for you, every night ... A lot of the time, witnesses don't come until after the trials of our faith, as it says in Ether 12:6. Just keep going. I know that you all can do it. I hope that because I'm out here working, Heavenly Father will bless the Murri family in Eagle Mountain... I don't want to be blessed, I want you all to be blessed. If that's what it comes down to, then I would gladly do that... ".
He leaves us this week from King's Lynn with this challenge: "Watch this video, it's amazing: helives.mormon.org "
