Change#1 - Jed's "little" sister just turned 15, Jed did not forget even told her "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!".
Change#2 - Jed's mom asked about one of the members he was with when the photo on the last post - the one with 'loads of cream'. We learned that this is a member who, in Elder Murri's words, "...[is a] really a good guy, and I'm grateful for him...". Further "...He feeds us every week ... and he comes teaching with us, and a couple of times, we've called him last-minute, out of the blue, when he's sleeping or relaxing or doing whatever, and he'll come teaching with us or help us out in the way that we need...". A little more insight into this gentleman, "...[he] gave a brilliant lesson on members working with missionaries yesterday in Elder's quorum meeting! It was great, and I felt the Spirit while he was teaching...". Jed said that this description of this good brother like many of us - is something that used to be quite different. The change "...[for him has] been hard, in fact, but with Christ's help (and that's the key), he's been able to do it. What an amazing thing...". This is because of "... the power of the Atonement; the complete love, and the changing influence of Christ's Grace in our lives can cover those mistakes with light, and with love, and with mercy...".
Change#3 - "We're teaching a man from Nigeria...and we were able to help him on Sunday. It was a great lesson. We brought a member ... He had quite a few concerns, and the major one was that he just didn't want to stop doing what he was doing, which is kinda a problem. But there was a point in the lesson where the Spirit came and it touched his heart, and we could feel it, and it was physically apparent in his countenance, and we helped him realize that he COULD change because of Christ's Grace! It was amazing. It was a blessing. I felt that love for him, and it was awesome. The Gospel changes lives. "
Change#4 - We sent Jed a package that included a box or two of cereal. Jed said, "...Thank you for sending everything that you do! I got those Lucky charms and I accidentally ate them in one day. haha :) #chubby They were delicious though, and I appreciate it..." Well, maybe that one isn't a change :).
I didn't post all the photo's Jed sent recently, so I will share a few more here. I love the change that the gospel (or good news of Jesus Christ) brings. I am happy that Jed is able to share this with the people he is around.
