Jed ended his letter to both myself and his mom this way "No longer from London, Elder Murri".
No, he is not coming home early.
He says, "I didn't email you yesterday, because transfers are this week. And, I (sadly) HAVE BEEN TRANSFERRED! I'm going to a little place WAY up north called King's Lynn!! I'm serving with someone from California ... (I haven't gone up there yet, I'm still in Enfield for my last day), and I'm excited! Apparently, it's a 4 hour coach ride to get up there, so I'm trying to decide what I'm going to do on the train. haha :) ".
Looking at a map my wife pulled up it shows King's Lynn north of London on a North facing coast line.
Elder Murri told his Mom ... "Here's a couple of little things that I've noticed this week:
Constant, dedicated study and prayer build your testimony and help you receive help with your weaknesses, through your trials and afflictions, and also help you receive revelation. It doesn't have to be a large, colorful spiritual experience every time you study, but that dedication will build up the strength of your testimony and conviction, almost without you realizing it.
The second one is this: I realize now that my testimony has begun to root deeper into my soul on my mission than it ever had before I came out. I have the privilege and the responsibility to defend the Gospel of Jesus Christ every day, and to study and immerse myself in that same Gospel, and because of that, my testimony has been able to grow. A lot of the time, I feel as though my testimony isn't strong enough, especially when I look at other missionaries, and their conviction, but I realized this week that the base upon which my testimony has been built has grown so much, and my testimony is so much greater than it ever was at home. The Lord does amazing things with us when we let Him in. But it's all up to us. We have to let Him in. We can't be prideful about learning, and we can't be down on ourselves either. But when we let him in, miracles happen. The Gospel is amazing. :) ".
Missionary work can really happen in our lives from the things all around us. Last week Elder Murri took a person who was learning more about the church to London and watched Meet the Mormon's (the documentary sharing the story a few members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) in the Hyde Park chapel. I told Jed that Eli has been playing a lot of basketball. I even bought him his own ball - which he has taken to school and played with almost constantly. Jed said, "Keep Eli going with the basketball. They don't really play here in Britain, although, we did meet a random guy on the street who found out that we were Mormons and started talking about Jabari Parker, which was super random and impressive! ". There are so many ways to share the truths of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others ... and now with Jed ... so many places.
