He (I think in the letter he wrote for this week) said, "...today, we went to the Lankenheath American Airbase and went bowling and I ripped my trousers a good one. It's quite a good rip. They're done. Haha :)...". I guess he didn't go to see the helicopters this time, but maybe should have.
I noted this in his email, and am taking the time to point it out - I especially hope his Mom caught this. He is talking up her cooking to those he interacts with in England. He writes, "THIS IS RANDOM, but if you get this email today, would you please send me your banana bread recipe, as soon as possible? There's a lady in my ward ..., and I was telling her that you made great banana bread, and she said that she wanted your recipe. Thank you!".
He tells us this ... " ...it was transfers again yesterday! King's Lynn has changed!
I'm staying! But Elder Hesen is leaving, he's going to Colchester to be a new Zone Leader there, and both the sisters are leaving, and we're getting three new sisters! Two of them together are training a new sister! Crazy huh? President Jordan has asked me to be the new District leader in the Thetford district (which includes King's Lynn), and I'M ALSO TRAINING A NEW MISSIONARY. :) I'm so excited! It's really cool, because I feel like your trainer can shape how your mission goes. If the new missionary starts his mission off well, then he'll have a better mission. I want so badly to help this new missionary! I want to help him so much! The only problem is that I have no idea how to train, and I have no idea how to lead a district. Haha :) But the Lord does, and like Nephi, "I know in whom I [trust]" (2 Nephi 4:19).
Those are really great scriptures, they've really helped me out a lot while I've been on my mission. If you ever feel down, or a little bit like you feel mom, a little bit busy, read 2 Nephi 4. I know that what he says is true." I believe Elder Murri will do a great job 'training' a new missionary.
Some sage advice to each of us: "Keep reading your scriptures and praying. Keep going to church. Keep doing the simple things, and life will become more simple. Keep making sure that your will aligns with God's. Everything will turn out ok. There's a Mormon message that I really like called 'You Never Know' [that is a help]". I love the, "Keep making sure that your will aligns with God's".
He leaves us with these words, "...Also, I've probably told you this before, but the sunsets here
are TO DIE FOR. :)...", and "...P.S., Emails will probably not be as long now, but I'll try to condense ideas so that I can still fit everything in. I'll send a couple of pictures too! Love you!"
Shorter emails?
